Energy Management
With a building Integration system provided by Commercial Air, energy usage can be optimized in order to minimize energy expenses. Through proper energy management, both the environment and your finances benefit.

Power monitoring:

Connecting your Andover Controls System to your existing power logic meters to monitor the current electrical demand is critical to controlling your building demand. Monitoring the electrical demand will allow you to implement energy saving strategies currently unavailable.

Schedules:

Andover Controls Systems have the ability to perform "time of day" control for all of your heating and air conditioning equipment. Tightening up your operating schedules will conserve electrical power.

The following scheduling options improve energy efficiency:
  1. Time of day control with optimum start for air handlers and unit heaters.
  2. Schedule override from any room thermostat for after hours operation (office areas).
  3. Schedule override from any room thermostat for after hours operation (plant areas).
Building Optimization:

The following optimization options should be considered in conjunction with scheduling:
  1. Limit space temperature set-points to building operations specifications.
  2. Night Setup, (reset space temperature set-points to 80 deg F summer, adjustable).
  3. Night setback, (reset space temperature set-points to 60 deg F winter, adjustable).
  4. Install motion sensors for Lighting Control
Heating and Cooling Optimization:
  1. Utilize fresh air economizer for cooling when outdoor temperature is below 55 deg F (adjustable).
  2. Shut down cooling systems during winter operation or during moderate weather when cooling is not required.
  3. Shut down heating systems during summer operation or during moderate weather when heating is not required.
Additional Features:

The following features do not necessarily affect energy usage. but any or all of the systems as listed below can be added to the controls system to greatly reduce cost of maintaining multiple vendor systems.
  1. Fire Alarm Interface
  2. Access / Security
  3. Video Monitoring
